I was eating peanuts at a lounge while waiting for my train. A few peanuts fell on my lap while reading a newspaper and the rest is history.

Rudy DeWaele tweeted a link to the iPhone Dev Camp for the Obama 08 iPhone Application [Link opens up iTunes]
This is a short video demonstrating my enthusiasm for this application. The developers did a wonderful job and immense service for the Obama/Biden campaign.

I cannot imagine how Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin can not even give one example of a newspaper (or any periodical for that matter) that she reads to stay abreast of what is happening in the world. This is really sad. Therefore, I am compiling a short list of essential news resources Sarah Palin should familiarize herself with.
Sarah Palin if you would like a broad overview of every facet of society you should subscribe to The Economist and download the Economist audio edition if you do not have time to read. I can imagine that having 5 children and a grandchild on the way you may not have the time to help run the country and keep up with current events. So, I would recommend the audio version of The Economist.
Also, I would familiarize myself with these periodicals for a broader perspective of what is happening today: Le Monde Diplomatique Spiegel Online, The Nation The New Republic, FP - Foreign Policy Foreign Affairs CATO Newsletters, RAND Corp Research Briefs The Weekly Standard, and it goes with saying, Al Jazeera and occasionally The National Enquirer.

Actual Palin Interview Response:
COURIC:Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? Allow them to spend more and put more money into the economy? Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?
PALIN: That’s why I say, I like ever American I’m speaking with were ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the tax payers looking to bailout.
But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy - Helping the - Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. Shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americas. And trade we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive scary thing. But 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.
